Is there a demo?

If you are using QuickBooks now, you have the demo. Manage Properties with QuickBooks uses the functionality of QuickBooks and acts exactly the same as QuickBooks® because it is QuickBooks. All this does it add some accounts that will enable you to use QuickBooks for managing rental property.

If you do not use QuickBooks now, you will need to install on your computer QuickBooks in order for Manage Properties with QuickBooks to work. At that point, you will have the demo.

I’ve seen other programs that say they do what this does for much less money. Why is Manage Properties with QuickBooks different?

While we can’t speak for every different product, those we have seen only provide instructions on how to tweak QuickBooks into doing property management. In order to do that, they have to call some accounts something they aren’t, such as tenants becoming customers and properties becoming a product.

Even though this may work, it does not deal with many of the legal issues landlords face in managing rental properties. And for a property management company, it may well violate state real estate laws.

Is there a limit to the number of properties Manage Properties with QuickBooks will allow me to enter?

Manage Properties with QuickBooks allows you to enter as many properties as your hard drive will hold. There is no limit and no higher charge for properties over a certain number. Other software packages make users pay for more than 10, 20, 50 or 100 properties.

Is there an annual charge for using Manage Properties with QuickBooks?

Your initial investment is all you will ever pay for this product.

What about updates?

If Intuit ever makes changes in QuickBooks that might interfere with the functioning of Manage Properties with QuickBooks, you will automatically receive an updated version— FREE.

Why do I have to use QuickBooks 2009 or newer?

Intuit made changes to QuickBooks in 2009 that made this updated version of Manage Properties with QuickBooks not work with older QuickBooks versions. If changes occur in the future with QuickBooks, you will automatically receive an updated version from the publisher.

Can I move my data from my existing property management software?

Yes. If you need help with it, Gita Faust, developer of Manage Properties with QuickBooks, will walk you through how to do it.

Do I get help?

Manage Properties with QuickBooks comes with up to an hour of free consultation in its use. Fortunately, this product is so easy to use that few people ever need that much help.
